RIFLE SEASON IS HERE!

Well, I don't know about you, but I hate these 10 days. I see the out of state tags pulling into town and shiver in horror. This should be a long needed break for me, but I will never get caught up on my sleep! I wonder what bucks will survive the short but deadly season. The phone calls are already coming in. Rumors of BBD's already spreading around town faster than a wildfire.
What really bothers me the most, are the big $$$ boys who lease a property all year for 10 days of hunting. I wouldn't mind sharing the field with them, if they didn't demand it all for themselves and weren't such &*(*@#$ about it!
Just the other day, I was approached by a man walking the fence line of my primo hunting spot. It would appear that I am surrounded by leases on all sides! The gentlemen went to the land owner and complained. He complained that I was hunting on his leased ground! He comes all the way from Wisconsin to hunt this ground and pays good money. He demanded that I be dealt with. Instead, he was told where to get off! Thank God for those good old boys, huh? It appears that out of staters don't know a fence line from a hole in the ground! Anyway, what are we to do? Until we are making 6-7 digit salaries, we are left to deal. By the way, don't they have nice bucks in Wisconsin? What's up with that?

GAME WARDEN ALERT!

Just in case you didn't already know...
I was checked by the game warden this morning. He said we are not allowed to carry field tips in our quivers while hunting. I was given a warning, but thought I'd pass that info on.
Hunting was a waste of time today, think I'll go bird hunting this afternoon. I didn't see anything this morning. It's so darn hot! Do not see any colder temps coming till Wed. night.
Yesterday wasn't bad. I did see some bucks, but none were worth flinging an arrow at.

BBD - ALBERT'S '07 BUCK

I'd be smiling, too! What an awesome buck. Albert shot this around 5:30 last night and guesses it to be in the mid 150's. He made a twenty five yard spine shot!!! The only deer seen all nite....come from across the creek to come feed in the bean field!! More pics of this kill in the picture gallery!

VIEWERS CHOICE

This is the most viewed pic in our gallery. This guy is a stud! Thanks for the shot, Nick. I wish I would see something like this coming down the trail. I could use a good case of buck fever right now. The last two times I have been out, I didn't even see a doe...
Just heard the bucks are moving this afternoon over Missouri way. They are chasing does across the highways. Get ready boys. If the does aren't ready, the bucks think they should be!
Careful driving!

HE'S BACK!!

Well, my friend returned and he's out of velvet. My blood is pumping and I'm ready to blow a gasket! Anyway, I want to start a little wager. You boys comment on the link below and guess what this bad boy scores. When I shoot him (not trying to be arrogant, just trying to stay confident), we'll see who had it right!
By the way, I was sitting on another field when this one came through. If it wasn't for bad luck I'd have no luck at all!

BBD - MATT MEIER'S BUCK SCORED 135

Matt just sent this picture last night. Nice 10 pt! He rattled for about 15 seconds and bucks started coming in curious. A small 5 pt came in first followed by a 7 pt. Then came the 10 pt he chose to shoot. Made a nice shot, too! (15 yard shot double lung) The buck ran for 75 yards and dropped.
